Lifeguard - Summer Camp Program
Camp Towanda is looking for experienced, charismatic and enthusiastic Lifeguards to work at our beautiful waterfront which includes Sunset Lake, a 33 acre natural spring fed lake and our Olympic solar heated pool. In addition to teaching instructional swim to campers of ages 7-17 with varying abilities, our lifeguards supervise campers in the pool and on recreational floats, slides, the giant water obstacle course and Tarzan Swing in the lake. The waterfront is one of the safest places on camp, thanks to the vigilance and pride our staff take in monitoring all activities near and in the water.
Specialists help teach groups of 20-40 campers for instruction, although at the lake, we often have 250-500 campers enjoying our facilities at a time! When you work in the Waterfront Department you will have a specialty - e.g. swim instruction, boating, waterski to name a few.
