Job Purpose
 
The Summer Intern will be required to have regular interaction with contractors, crews, municipalities, property owners, and material suppliers to assist in the creation of scopes of work, request for proposal, communication of field conditions, problem resolution and project tracking. 
 
Qualifications

·        Experience working in a construction environment is preferred, but not required.
·        Understanding of and experience in reading and interpreting construction drawings is preferred.
·        Experience in reading and understanding mapping tools and geography is preferred, but not required. 
·        Candidate must possess strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills for dealing with team members. 
·        Other important attributes are:
§ Strong organizational, task and time management skills, self-starter.
§ The candidate must be detailed oriented and an excellent proofreader.
§ Takes ownership of responsibilities and tasks assigned.
§ Excellent follow up and follow through.
§ Able to work as part of a team.
§ Able to be involved in multiple projects at one time.
§ Quick learner, able to pick up new projects and tasks quickly.
§ Experience reviewing and auditing legal documents highly desired.
§ Computer skills should include proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and general Internet research.
Working Conditions
 
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as required.
 
Physical Requirements
 
  • Able to bend, squat and sit for extended periods of time and do repetitive tasks with few breaks.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.
