NRP Investments, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Payroll Intern in Cleveland, OH.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Part-Time Payroll Intern is responsible for the processing of the bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls, data entry and reconciliations. The incumbent will work with employees and managers to resolve issues and provide guidance on payroll related matters. Attention to detail is critical for this position.

Essential Functions:
• Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for non-exempt employees, semi-monthly payroll for exempt employees.
• Responsible for reconciliation of payroll inputs
• Assist in balancing general ledger each pay cycle
• Maintain payroll files
• Assist managers, employees, accounting and other stakeholders with payroll inquiries and resolving issues by conducting fact finding and data analysis
• Enter personnel & pay related transactions into UKG software
• Learn and understand payroll compliance including wage & hour and FLSA regulations
• Communicate with key internal stakeholders including UKG (payroll software provider), HRIS team, Accounting team and HR team.
• Perform basic/intermediate payroll analysis in Microsoft Excel.
• Sort, distribute and address department mail
• Assist with year-end payroll/compensation activities
• Complete special projects and other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Education: Working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Organizational Development or equivalent.
• Experience: 0-2 years of various accounting/finance/HR/payroll support roles preferred. Applicable education with experience in test environments will be considered as well.
• Driver’s License Required: No
• Microsoft Office: basic to intermediate skills preferred
