Design Engineering Co-op Spring 2022

Design Engineering Co-op
Tylok Design Engineering co-op students work closely with the design engineers to improve product features, functionality, efficiency, profitability, and safety. Co-op students gain hands-on experience with engineering in a manufacturing setting, impact key performance indicators directly, and implement preventative actions to maximize the success of the company.

While Design Engineering co-op students work primarily with engineers and other engineering students, Tylok encourages interaction with the full cross-section of the enterprise, from machinist through executives and ownership.

Individual projects are typically assigned from a managed list of pre-approved projects driven by Tylok’s strategic plan, but some projects may be assigned in response to emerging demands. Progress is reviewed by the Technical Director at project milestones and by senior management and ownership at project completion. Co-op students are encouraged to set and pursue personal goals, in addition to meeting project deadlines.
