Warehouse and Logistics Intern
Mars Electric is actively looking for a qualified Junior or Senior to participate in our internship program. The objective of the Mars Electric Internship Program is to provide interns an opportunity to gain hands on experience and develop skills necessary for success in the supply chain industry. During this paid internship you will work with management on projects within our operations and supply chain, support our Pick/Pack/Ship department, and gain valuable career experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review metrics that support business areas and provide value to our organization
- Work towards continuous improvement of the operations through implementation of cost savings, cost avoidance, and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with the Warehouse team to coordinate and assist in all activities ensuring on time and efficient delivery of materials to our customers
- Work cross-functionally with different departments on projects
- Inventory and purchase all warehouse supplies
- Engage in all functions related to the product life cycle within the Mars Supply Chain
Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in business administration, supply chain management, operations, logistics, or a related field
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office
- Able to work part time during the semester (preferably afternoon)
- Able to function in a fast-paced environment, accommodating all levels of operational requests and management
- Ability to move materials up to 75 lbs
