Data Analyst- Micro Intern (Remote and Part-Time)

The Data Analyst position is responsible for supporting the sourcing, manipulation, preparation, and validation of data for consumption – which may be in the form of production reports or as analytical data sets to answer questions or to perform predictive analysis.  The analyst uses basic querying and data mining to assist the team’s report production and analysis to provide answers to descriptive questions such as “How do I measure?” and “What happened?”. Through basic reoccurring reporting and ad hoc requests such as pulling data and routine analysis, the analyst will build basic reports and provide technical assistance to the working team. 
 
Our micro-internship will run through the end of the year and allows you to work alongside KeyBank’s experts within Key Technology, Operations & Services (KTOS). The internship provides an opportunity to get hands-on experience with our innovative teams. Our internships will equip you with competitive skills, valuable networking, mentoring, and exposure to executives through a structured experience. 
 
Essential Job Functions: 
  • Pull basic data via simple queries and prepare data to support the production of reports owned by the group 
  • Provide reoccurring reporting and ad hoc requests such as simple analysis and documentation 
  • Develop basic visualization and PowerPoint presentations 
  • Provide input with addressing basic analytical problems and challenges 
Required Skills: 
  • Must be 1st or 2nd year student with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Analytical Skills; critical thinking, creative thinking, and problem solving 
  • Work within a customer oriented, positive team environment  
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with technical and non-technical staff  
 
Desired Skills: 
  • Organization and Communication skills 
  • Excel and PowerPoint 
  • BI and Data Visualization tools, including SQL, SAS, Cognos, R, Python, Tableau 
  • Database and querying skills
