Human Resources Intern
JOB SUMMARY: 
The Human Resources Intern will assist the Human Resources department with a variety of tasks related to multiple functions such as: employer branding, recruiting, onboarding new hires, benefits, wellness, associate training and development, performance management, policy and procedure management, and employee relations.  
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Posts, updates, and removes job ads from various job boards, career pages and social networks
 - Assists the recruiting team with screening resumes and applications for potential talent
 - Coordinates and sends onboarding documents to new hires and ensures their completion
 - Coordinates new hire orientation
 - Organizes, compiles and updates associate personnel records and documentation
 - Participates in employer branding meetings, reviews Glassdoor and Indeed employer pages for updates, brainstorms new ideas for employer branding efforts
 - Participates in organizing company events, associate training opportunities, and career fairs
 - Updates associate contact information within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
 - Reviews HR policies and assists with policy revisions and updates
 - Sends email reminders to associates regarding required training assignments and due dates, policy acknowledgements, and upcoming events
 - Assists with updating records and databases related to associate benefits and wellbeing
 - Participates in HR staff meetings and brainstorming sessions
 
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Special projects as identified by the HR leaders
 - Assists associates with general inquiries and questions
 - Performs other duties as assigned
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Human Resources at an accredited four-year college or university
 - Minimum of junior or senior status required
 - Minimum GPA of 3.0
 - Prior internship or co-op experience preferred
 - Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities
 
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION(S):
- None required
 
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Intermediate level proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
 - Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is advantageous
 - Familiarity with a variety of resume databases (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.)
