After School Teacher

Mad Science and Crayola Imagine Arts Academy (CIAA) are looking for passionate, engaging educators to teach 1-hour science and art after-school programs to children ages 5-12. The ideal candidate enjoys working with groups of children, is out-going, and has reliable transportation. Materials and curricula are provided. Training and travel costs are compensated. Having a strong background in science or are are not required, but a willingness to learn is essential. This is a very part time, flexible position that is ideal for college students, retired educators, and others who are looking for a commitment of 10 or fewer hours per week. This is a traveling teaching position, as instructors are assigned at different locations each day of the week.

Mad Science of Northeast Ohio and CIAA of Northeast Ohio are hands-on, after school programs that serves numerous schools in the region and we continue to grow. Our educators are passionate and engaging people who love to spark imagination and curiosity in the mind's of children. Our science programs are themed around a particular discipline such as chemistry, biology, electicity, and others. In our art programs, students may learn about famous artists and their contributions to the world, or use art to explore various cultures. We fully believe that art and science education are vitally instrumental in developing critical thinking and problem solving skills and in the growth of creativity and empathy.
