Litigation Paralegal

Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Director of Legal Operations, the Litigation Paralegal assists corporate counsel with many case management duties and other office related tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast paced, high volume environment.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Draft pleadings, correspondence, subpoenas, discovery and various legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze law sources to prepare documents for use by attorney.
  • Assist with calendar management for Corporate Counsel.
  • Coordinate requests between multiple parties involved in litigation by way of consistent communication with outside counsel.
  • Perform administrative duties including but not limited to managing calendars, organize case files, manage logistics, processing mail, etc.
  • Work with and assist Corporate Counsel as needed on projects and assignments.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Notary public certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant or equivalent experience.
  • Associates degree in Paralegal studies preferred.
  • Experience in Legal, Financial Services, Real Estate, Mortgage is preferred.
  • Experience with a Legal software.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent technical skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT
