Operations Consultant (Loan Services)

The Loan Services Operations Consultant is responsible for coordinating lending activities and analysis to fulfill regulatory reporting requirements, specifically Loan Application Registers reporting for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) compliance. The Loan Services Operations Consultant is a member of the Reporting & Support team in Loan Services.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Support the compiling and analysis of data for the submission of the CRA Small Business / Small Farm and HMDA Loan Application Registers.
  • Lead data quality activities, including data analysis, reconciliation, and suspect review, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to underwriting and lending processes to improve the accuracy of data.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across various organizations, including Line of Business, Operations, Corporate Responsibility, and Risk.
  • Review process documentation to ensure that internal standards are met.
  • Validate output to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Effectively communicate project status on a regular basis through various means.
  • Exhibit critical thinking, problem solving, and negotiating skills to resolve difficult and sometimes controversial issues; escalates issues as appropriate to the correct level of management.
  • Lead senior management updates and presentations.
  • Identify opportunities and propose changes to enhance operating efficiency and service delivery.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Analytical skills and data analysis experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work and influence across organizations
  • Strong regulatory and compliance mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead projects and initiatives to successful completion; excellent organization skills including the proven ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and implement initiatives
  • Ability to present clearly, including to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • CRA, HMDA, and lending data experience
  • Knowledge of lending systems, i.e., nCino, LoanIQ, ACAPS, Empower, KeyView Deluxe
