Job Description
Lubrizol offers a variety of internship opportunities for students in our Information Solutions department. During your internship, you will work closely with experienced professionals as an active member of a diverse and innovative team to help Lubrizol become a safe, operationally excellent and cyber secure organization. As a member of the program, you will explore a variety of opportunities in the main areas of our department: Corporate Travel and Hospitality Management.
Travel Management
- Propose suitable hotels, event venues, and innovative ideas for corporate events and travel reservations.
- Coordinate employee passport and visa requirements, along with travel administration from Concur Travel and Expense.
- Develop relationships with travel vendors to organize monthly travel card reconciliation and vendor involvement for corporate meetings and events.
- Perform required maintenance of employee corporate travel and expense cards.
Corporate Hospitality Management
- Participate in planning and coordination of corporate meetings and events.
- Organize on-site execution of corporate events which includes setup, breakdown, and coordination of creative services.
- Create proposals for menu planning and ordering to meet prompt deadlines for events.
Additional Responsibilities
- Generate communications for events and meetings such as calendars, reports, and diagrams.
- Conduct pre and post event analysis to improve future corporate meetings and events.
- Develop Microsoft Excel reports and SharePoint sites for events, meetings, and travel reporting.
Qualifications
- Active student pursuing an undergraduate degree in hospitality management, travel management, corporate event planning, business management, or a related field.
- Students with a 3.0 or greater GPA will be given priority consideration.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
