Software Engineering Co-Op (Fall 2022)

Job Description

As a Software Engineering Co-op you will be an extension of our Global Product Development team and experience a collaborative and diverse learning environment working with cross functional teams where you will participate in all aspects of our product development process. Our Software Engineering Co-ops will work full-time for the semester and must be actively enrolled as an or Computer Engineering major or Electrical Engineering (with Computer Science coursework). We seek students open to one or multiple semesters.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain firmware process flow-chart, hardware development, software test plan and functional validation for consumer IoT products
  • Work on products that we design composed of: hardware, firmware, Wi-Fi, cloud, Google and Alexa voice control and iOS and Android mobile apps
  • Support validation team to ensure product designs perform as intended, and ensure they are reliable and safe for the consumer
  • Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts
  • Support engineering projects and participate in functional project team activities

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (programming focus)
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript or similar language
  • Strong analytical skills and creative ability
  • Prefer experience with standard electronic lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and soldering equipment
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels within our organization
