Marketing Assistant

Position summary
The Marketing Assistant provides tactical support for the firm’s marketing and business development efforts. As part of a tight-knit team, this professional works closely with the other members of the Marketing Department to ensure the execution of the firm wide marketing and business-development strategies, priorities and practices.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Support communications projects as needed, including circulating press releases, creating website posts, executing social media campaigns and updates to the website
  • Monitor analytics related to marketing activities and initiatives, where applicable, and provide suggestions for improvement to marketing team
  • Assist with executing business development and client outreach events including onsite support, timelines, tracking of RSVPs and regular reporting
  • Support members of the marketing team to create custom responses to RFPs, providing administrative support from the start of the process through the filing of the submission
  • Utilize firm business development and research tools to conduct research and analysis of clients, prospective clients, companies, industries and competitors. Provides a comprehensive intelligence report to attorneys summarizing findings as preparation for upcoming meetings
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials for pitch meetings including proofreading and graphic design
  • Update and maintain marketing materials including attorney biographies and practice group descriptions
  • Support the nomination process for the firm and its lawyers for a variety of awards and listings
  • Assist with distribution of client alerts and other varied internal and external email communications
  • Manage promotional items, track inventory; assist others to select new items including reviewing mock ups, handling invoices and delivery to other locations
  • Other projects as assigned
 
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe programs including Photoshop
  • Outstanding proofreading, oral/written communications, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be customer-focused in approach and possess a strong work ethic
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
