Position: Community Health Intern (12 weeks)
Employment Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time or Part-time
Wage: Hourly, $13.00
The Medina County Health Department, a nationally accredited health department, has an opening for a Community Health Intern. The Community Health Intern will complete assigned projects to promote Health Department services across various promotional venues, and web-based and social media platforms. This position will be required to work some evening and/or weekends performing promotional activities at community events.
The Community Health intern will also participate in planning health education initiatives, including but not limited to, tobacco prevention, drug overdose prevention, safe communities, and preparedness (Medical Reserve Corps).
General Qualifications (including but not limited to):
Full-time or part-time College student with a minimum GPA of 2.5, majoring in a program of study in Health Education, Marketing, Social Media, Graphic Design, Public Health or approved degree where this internship experience is a requirement of their major or would be beneficial to their education in their program of study.
