SEO Strategist

Position Summary
Foundation Software, a rapidly growing, national provider of construction software, currently seeks a full-time SEO Marketing Strategist that will leverage a variety of approaches to expand impression share & CTR, research keyword opportunities and make technical improvements to our family of companies. The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented go-getter that brings a positive attitude to the workplace.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing you will play a pivotal role in expanding SEO related strategies to our family of companies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute core SEO strategies that drive traffic and ROI to our websites
  • Constantly evaluate and ensure that SEO optimizations are applied to all websites and actively work with web team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on developed code
  • On-going website and competitor analysis to improve organic positions
  • Diving into keyword research and make recommendations on content opportunities with the content team
  • Driving recommendations to improve audience journey and website conversion rate
  • Create and execute monthly recommendations, creating quarterly roadmap and being able to show what results came from those implemented strategies
  • Recommend and execute adjustments to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
  • Analyze backlink profiles against competitors, create strategies for linkbuilding campaigns to increase brand recognition and authority
  • Remain current with SEO, search engine, social media, and digital marketing industry trends and developments, researching and implementing SEO recommendations
  • Manage content changes that are happening on the family of companies' websites
  • Keyword research to help with paid strategies
  • Collaboratively work with the marketing and sales teams to achieve goals
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 2 to 4 years of SEO (or content) strategy experience, execution is key
  • Understanding of organic channel growth and what it will take to spark that growth
  • Familiarity with Wordpress and the ability to make changes within the CMS (Content and Technical SEO changes)
  • Experience with Google Search Console, Google Analytics - certification preferred
  • Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS
  • Knowledge of SEO- related software (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Clear Scope, etc.)
  • Understanding of AdWords and ability to work hand-in-hand with PPC specialist
  • Proven methodology regarding keyword research, on and off-page optimization and testing
  • Understanding funnel-based strategies, and build conversion-focused user journeys around a website architecture
  • Being able to balance priorities for both short and long-term projects
  • Drive a strategy home, execution is key with the ability to work on more than one project at once
  • Solid writing skills a must
  • Past agency-driven work a plus but not required
  • Open minded to take constructive feedback
