Data Scientist Co-Op/Intern

Summary:
The Data Scientist Co-Op/Intern will gain exposure to the Viking Forge network hardware/software, end user hardware and applications, and ERP system/add-on programs. After gaining a base knowledge of all our systems your work will be focused on developing and modifying reporting and solutions for end users, assist end users with implementing or conversion to new applications, troubleshooting/resolving end-user processing issues, and back-up IT Manager. This job is on-site in Streetsboro, OH, with no option for remote work.
Desired candidate attributes:
- Ability to conceptualize and proof the completed project.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong desire for programming/report writing.
- Currently enrolled in degree (major or minor) program such as:
Computer Information Systems - B.B.A.,
Computer Science, Management, BSCS, or
Applied Computer Science.
If desired, Viking Forge is willing to partner with your school to qualify this assignment for internship credit.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Database and ERP system knowledge
- SQL Server Reporting Services
- Microsoft Excel acumen with ability to utilize and develop complex formulas, macros, and Visual Basic.
- Microsoft windows applications
Pay: Will be based on your level of experience.
Schedule: Temporary and full or part time during regular business hours, depending on your prior commitments (i.e. class schedule). Upon successful completion of the temporary period the candidate may be considered for a permanent position.
