(Remote Internship) A Collaborative Study of Organizational & Educational Psychology Literature

The Organizational/Educational Psychology community explores research on both the study of psychology in academia and the psychology utilized in productivity and task management. By using 1Cademy, interns learn how to break down articles into granular concepts, connect them within a larger context of research, communicate their findings to other community interns, and utilize information to write research studies. We value collaborative learning, and expect interns to participate in group discussions both to dive deeper into the content and regularly improve their own content.


By Joining Us, You Will ...


  • Gain experience using crucial skills in research including paper analysis, summarization, and making connections between disciplines.
  • Make a difference by identifying educational problems in academia.
  • Propose and collaboratively work on solutions to identified problems
  • Work towards publishing research on education, learning science, industrial-organizational psychology, and cognitive psychology
  • Work remotely with all interactions, task fulfillment, and communications with other interns.
  • Have opportunities to take on leadership roles within the community.


Qualifications


  • Academic background and knowledge in topics related to education, learning science, industrial-organizational psychology, or cognitive psychology.
  • Fluency in writing and reading in English (will have to summarize research articles).
  • Experience and willingness to work in collaborative environments.
  • Submit your most current resume and unofficial transcripts, indicating a GPA above 3.4/4.0
  • Explain in a few paragraphs why you apply to this specific community.
  • Complete our community-specific quiz by answering a set of questions about some research papers or book chapters and get a satisfying score.


Responsibilities


  • Be enthusiastic to engage in critical thinking to collaborate and publish research on the topics currently being explored in the community.
  • Be excited to engage in the peer-review process on research proposed by other community members.
  • Regularly study textbooks and research papers, summarize them, and share the essence of what you learn with our large research team.
  • Must be prepared and willing to collaborate with our team of computer scientists, web developers, UX researchers, UI designers, epidemiologists, and cognitive and behavioral scientists.
  • Presenting the essence of what you learn in weekly meetings for further discussion, at least once a month.
  • All interactions, task fulfillment, and communications will be remote.
