Community Development Intern

Intern with the Department/Division: Community Development We are committed to improving the quality of life in the City of Cleveland by strengthening our neighborhoods through successful housing rehabilitation efforts, commercial rehabilitation efforts, new housing construction, homeownership, and community-focused human services.
Under general supervision, assists with special projects that require the exercise of a substantial degree of independent judgment. The Community Development Intern will focus on creating a Developer Guide that will include creating a process map that spans different departments.

Hours and compensation
15 hours per week at $13/hr
Examples of Duties
 Collaborates with multiple departments to identify and define processes related to development within the city of Cleveland.
 Reviews and analyzes information
 Processes information in chronological order to create a formal mapped process that will act as a systematic instructional guide for both current and future developers.
 Structures product to be accessible on the Community Development web page.
