Supply Chain Intern
Danfoss in Brooklyn, OH is searching for a Supply Chain Intern to support the supply chain team in the daily tasks of completing a customer order request from beginning to end. The Supply Chain Intern will assist with projects relating to customer service, demand planning, purchasing, manufacturing, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Item quotes with established suppliers
- Expedite/de-expedite/cancel purchase orders as suggested by the action message report in MRP
- Monthly boneyard (expense items) quantity verification for current month sales order demand
- Participate in weekly supplier calls
- Enter purchase orders for MRO and facilities management.
- Create work order packets to the shop floor including the item drawing and all ISO required or first article inspection documentation
- Release work orders and corresponding purchase orders for all outside processing activities.
- Send daily sales bookings report to SCM team
- Manage all inventory staging locations including “missing”
- Process UPS and FedEx shipments as needed
- Order redates for sales order on hand but shipping is delayed by customer or customers carrier
- All other duties related to the support of the supply chain function and company metrics
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain (preferred), Operations, or Business
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have coursework or experience in any of the following areas:
- Production Planning & Control
- Strategic Sourcing and Purchasing Management
- Transportation Management
- Material and Inventory Management
- Business Modeling and Decision Making.
- Lean Six Sigma
- Operations Strategy
Other Skills:
- Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Power Point
- General computer skills
