Cash Management Analyst

This is a position within the Energy Harbor retail business. Retail Operations is an organization that values a competitive spirit, has a customer-centric focus, and provides visionary leadership. We are looking to hire an enthusiastic professional to join our team based out of our headquarters in downtown Akron. This role offers the possibility of a hybrid schedule, involving time in the office, coupled with remote work arrangements. 

Analyst Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting management and coworkers, following well-defined practices and procedures. 
  • Conducting business-specific research and analyze large amounts of data; Interpret and communicate results; Assist in implementation activities.
  • Supporting monthly financial close process by providing financial and operational reporting and analysis.
  • Analyzing and reconciling customer account balances.
  • Developing and/or performing business-related controls, analyze exceptions and implement solutions.
  • Contributing to solutions by taking initiative in developing alternatives and recommendations.
  • Actively seek formal and informal learning opportunities to better understand procedures.
  • Developing effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Developing and maintaining procedural documentation required for activities and other regulatory requirements.
  • Partnering with IT to perform and test system changes for data mass updates and/or application changes.
  • Providing a high level of service, continuous support, and proactive involvement to leadership, fellow peers and our customers.
  • Creating and developing queries in support of routine and ad-hoc data integrity and financial reports using TOAD Data Point and/or Qlikview to pull ABP Revenue Manager and SAP data.
  • Supporting projects and actively seek ways to build continuous improvement initiatives across all Retail Operations functions by adding value within scope of assignments.
Qualifications for an Analyst:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline required.
  • At least 2 years professional work experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access.
  • Experience with ABP Revenue Manager, SAP ERP, SAP CRM, Cognos/Qlikview/Toad Data Point, preferred. Other billing system experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while delivering quality, accurate work within established deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven operational environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross functionally.
  • Positive attitude and proactive behavior.
  • Strong analytical abilities with consistent attention to detail; Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
