Systems Engineer Intern Data Group

As a systems engineer intern, you’ll develop technical and communication skills by collaborating with vendors and internal technology partners. Working on our data and analytics or cloud teams in a 24/7 environment, you’ll handle a wide range of responsibilities while maintaining strong attention to detail. In addition, you’ll help resolve outages in our voice and data network, service, client PC, and mainframe environments with the assistance of a mentor.

•            Knowledge of IT operations, such as operating systems (e.g., Linux), utilities, production schedulers, and system environment hardware components (e.g., CPU, disk, and tape technologies)

•            Knowledge of computer coding/programming languages and software development concepts

•            Knowledge of data structures, data management practices, system interaction patterns, and interfaces

•            Technical problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to new situations and find successful resolutions for issues of basic to moderate complexity

•            Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
