Engineering Technical Internship

At Re:Build Manufacturing, we are rekindling American Industry. We are a growing family of engineering and manufacturing businesses serving a wide variety of industries from aerospace & defense to healthcare to urban mobility. Re:Build CDI is a member company within the Re:Build Manufacturing organization, and specializes in sheet metal and machined products, mostly for the aerospace and defense industry. We have a full complement of metals manufacturing equipment, as well as thermoplastic composites capabilities.  Our Engineering department prepares all models and drawings necessary to manufacture parts from the design datasets provided by our customers, and designs / makes / prototypes any and all tooling or gaging necessary for production.
 
Over the course of your summer internship experience, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Work directly with and learn from engineering team members
  • Participate in developing and implementing solutions to manufacturing engineering problems
  • Gain valuable engineering and manufacturing experience through exposure to different equipment and departments within our business
  • Learn industry knowledge from our in-house experts
  • Be hands-on with our products, design tools, and equipment
  • Begin to acquire the skills and knowledge vital to become a future technical leader
 
These positions are expected to be 100% on-site. Time will be spent in both on office environment, as well as some shop floor exposure, depending on projects and assignments.
 
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
  • Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2023
  • Currently majoring in an engineering or applied science major
  • Enrolled student attending a college/university with anticipate graduation on or after August 2023
  • Must have at least completed your sophomore year
 
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above)
  • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations
  • Strong technical experiences as proven through technical projects, research or internships
  • Outstanding communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to engineering
