It was a great experience for me to explore one of the aspects of a zoology career that I'm interested in.
What I wish was different
I didn't like one of the other interns. I wish he had been scheduled on my off days.
Advice
I think anyone else wanting to intern there should be prepared to be emotionally and physically exhausted. Wildlife rehab is often emotionally straining, but rewarding. And animal care can become a very physically demanding job.

What I liked
I liked the hands on experience I gained every day and all the animals I got to work with which included multiple species of birds, mammals, reptiles, insects, and fish.
What I wish was different
I wish that it was paid so I had to work a second job, but it is very hard to find paid internships in zoology.
Advice
Be ready to learn on the fly and be prepared for anything.
