I had a great experience a PwC. My team was welcoming and made my role very hands-on by giving me opportunities to take part in preparing a range of workpapers. I can't wait to start full-time!

They did not tell us we would work through October and the work was monotonous and did not require any critical thinking. It was also very clear based off what my superiors did day-to-day that I would not be happy working there in 3, 5 or 10 years.
Advice
Only do it if you really think accounting may be for you. I am happy i did it because now I know that this is not a career i am interested in pursuing.

My favorite part about my internship was expanding my professional network and being able to work with real accounting professionals whether it’s helping on projects, shadowing, or simply participating in networking events.
What I wish was different
I believe the internship could’ve benefited from another week of shadowing experience.
Advice
Don’t be scared stepping out of your comfort zone, and don’t doubt your potential. They know you are new to the field and they will understand you won’t know everything and that’s completely okay. Have confidence in yourself whether it talking to professionals or simply taking on additional tasks.

I liked how we were allowed to collaborate with the other interns on our projects and were able to ask as may questions as we needed. I was able to see what a day to day looks like as an accountant in which ever field I chose.

I was surrounded by a very diverse group of interns all of whom understood my thoughts and ideas. This led to everyone getting along and having fun as a group which made the internship an incredible experience.

I got to experience a lot of different roles in the organization via their rotations/flexibility. As long as I was with someone in the organization and was making progress on our team project, I could essentially do whatever I wanted (work-wise). Additionally, I got time off for fourth of July!
What I wish was different
Wish they would have helped pay for housing, especially in New York. They also had issues with payroll processing and I wasn't paid for my first month of work.
Advice
Go out of your comfort zone and explore a new place! Don't network for the sake of networking, build relationships
