Advice

In the interview session, two interviewers will conduct a separate interview with each student in turn. Although there are various types of problems, they all fall into the most basic 3WHY problems in the end: WHY PWC: Why do you want to join PwC; difference from the other big four; persuading customers WHY CONSULTING: WHY YOU WANT TO JOIN THE SECTOR; WHY NOT TO Invest WHY U: The hardest thing; leadership thing; career planning In my understanding, these three questions are to examine, do you understand the business of PwC and PwC, especially the advantages compared with the other four; do you understand the characteristics of the consulting industry and whether you understand the business of this department; suitability for counseling and your stability. In fact, you can prepare in advance here, how to dig out your own characteristics, how to know the depth of PwC... PwC's dress code is very loose, but it is still recommended to wear formal clothes, at least not deduct points, just clean. You can go to the interview location early, and a place will be arranged to rest, and there are other students who are interviewing in the same group to communicate with. The email said to arrive 15 minutes early, it is recommended to adjust your status half an hour in advance.

Financial due diligence

June - August 2023 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

During my internship at PwC in their Financial Due Diligence group, what I truly appreciated was the invaluable learning experience it provided. The team's dedication to precision and their meticulous examination of financial data was truly impressive. I found myself immersed in real-world financial analysis, honing my skills in assessing the financial health of various businesses, and understanding the intricacies of mergers and acquisitions. Moreover, the collaborative and supportive atmosphere within the team made every task engaging and insightful. Overall, my internship at PwC not only deepened my understanding of financial due diligence but also solidified my passion for this field, leaving me with lasting knowledge and fond memories of the experience.

What I wish was different

While my internship at PwC in their Financial Due Diligence group was undoubtedly a valuable experience, there were a few aspects I wished had been different. One of the main areas for improvement was the work-life balance, as the demands of the role often led to long hours and a challenging schedule. Additionally, I would have appreciated more opportunities for direct client interaction and greater involvement in decision-making processes. Although the team was supportive, a more structured mentorship program could have further enhanced my learning experience. Overall, while my time at PwC was enriching, these adjustments would have made it even more fulfilling.

Advice

One piece of advice I would share about my experience interning at PwC in their Financial Due Diligence group is to embrace every opportunity to learn and network. Take the initiative to seek out mentors and colleagues who can provide guidance and insights. Building strong professional relationships within the organization not only enhances your learning but also opens doors for future opportunities. Additionally, don't be afraid to ask questions and actively participate in projects, as it's through these actions that you'll gain the most from your internship and leave a lasting impression.

extern

May - July 2023 • Florida City, FL

What I liked

What I liked most about PwC was the organization's commitment to professional development and learning. During my time there, I was impressed by the emphasis placed on continuous learning and skill development. PwC offers a range of training and mentorship programs that empower employees to grow and excel in their careers. This culture of learning not only fosters personal and professional growth but also contributes to the overall success of the firm.

What I wish was different

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at PwC; however, if I could change one thing, it would be the format of the work environment. While the virtual setup allowed for flexibility, I believe that an in-person experience would have provided more opportunities for spontaneous interactions, relationship-building, and a deeper sense of connection with colleagues. Nonetheless, I am appreciative of the valuable experiences and skills I gained during my time with PwC

Advice

During my time at PwC, I found that clear and proactive communication was crucial in ensuring successful collaboration and project outcomes, especially in a virtual work environment. Regularly checking in with team members, seeking clarification when needed, and openly sharing progress updates helped to maintain effective teamwork and alignment on goals
